Air temperature refers to the measure of the average heat present in a unit volume of air. It is one of the most commonly measured parameters when describing weather conditions, and it provides an indication of how comfortable or uncomfortable it will be outside. Air temperatures are typically reported in degrees Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F), with readings taken from a thermometer located at eye level. The air temperature is affected by many factors such as wind, humidity and cloud cover, which can either increase or decrease the perceived temperature.
